I’ve always had a passion and specific lean toward all things creative. From the the time I was old enough to hold scissors, there has always been a natural gravitation toward design, visual art, and the processes behind it. Figuring out how to make things that work well fascinates and motivates me.

After graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Interior Design, I accepted an offer at a large architecture firm in Washington, DC. However, after a couple years at the firm I felt restless and disconnected from my work with virtually no creative autonomy or design-related decisions in my day to day life. Soon after through a turn of events, I decided to pursue a calling to work in a non-profit campus ministry back in my hometown.

During my time on staff there, I was able to re-ignite an old hobby; graphic design! I could often be found working on graphic design projects here and there, both for work and on my own time, purely for the joy of designing. As this grew into a small but consistent part of my role, it also gave me a hunger for working in a design role again and reminded me how useful, satisfying and imperative a part of life/business design really is. Design is everywhere and good design drives people and progress forward.

This led me to pursue a creative job again, hopefully with an emphasis on non-profit/cause-based work, and I look forward to continuing to serve people through design.
