Logo and graphics for an annual leadership intensive.
My client approached me to complete a fresh design for their organization's (Campus Outreach) annual leadership intensive that would engage attendees with the content being taught, reiterate the organization's values, and create a unique identity for the 2023 theme.
Seven distinct statements God declares about himself in scripture formed the premise of this year's theme, "I AM." I was tasked with developing a logo and cover-to-cover workbook to expand on this concept with a design that could easily translate to social media, digital presentations, and even apparel. The challenge was placing these abstract/vocal statements into the physical hands of the user.

A fluid design emerged that symbolized abstract sound waves resonating from a source, echoing the spoken nature of these statements. This pattern served to connect the icons or images needed to depict the seven "I AM" statements.

To capture all seven statements, I created a series of easily recognizable icons to subtly convey the idea in each statement.

I then arranged the icons in the linework, integrating them as one whole design.

In the final iteration, the design is an organic pattern that is modern and easily malleable, and well suited for Campus Outreach's existing culture.

The logo was then applied to the entire cover, wrapping from the front to the back continuously.

The shirt was designed to be age-inclusive for both the oldest staff and youngest attendees, easy to wear and gender neutral. I translated the logo onto tshirt mockups, with the final two options pictured here. Ultimately the client preferred the simpler, more literal design with the left front pocket placement.

Pleased with the look, feel and function of the workbook, we proceeded to printing and binding. I created an additional tshirt to be included in each attendee's welcome packet. My client wanted to provide each attendee with fresh designs to build momentum and excitement, and give them something to take home take with them. So I refigured the elements of the logo and proposed two tshirt options.
