Logo for a small art business

My client approached me to create a simple and timeless logo that can be used to represent her art business, which she sells both locally and on Etsy. Her art focuses heavily on floral and nature-themed subjects, faith-based material, and calligraphy, with an emphasis on watercolor among other mediums. Because her target audience is primarily women, I wanted to create an identity for her brand that would lean more feminine as well as appeal to a broad age range.

Working to incorporate the words “Hannah Art and Soul” into the primary logo, I used linework to frame the title. In addition, the flower motif was created from one of her drawings and converted into digital form. It gives the logo a personal touch and almost bursts out of frame, the way a plant could outgrow it’s container. The client had a vision for the logo, that it could be made into a stamp to personalize her art packages, so I kept this in mind for the secondary logo. It includes the main elements from the primary logo, but simplifies it and combines the flowers with the initials of her business.
